In the southern part of Thailand, between Krabi and Phuket, is a small town called Phangnga. A few kilometers outside this cozy and relaxing town, on the road to Sa Nang Manora forest park, you will find a small resort.
More than ten year old rubber trees are waiting to be 'tapped' at night. On dry nights, the coconut shells or bowls are hanging under the freshly tapped trees, collecting the dripping latex. A few hours later, it is time to take the latex out of the bowls: it's harvest time!
At the edge of the land is a small stream. The water comes directly from Manora Waterfall. Here, near the stream, the view is beautiful, overlooking mountains and the low land.
Dotted between the rubber trees are several lovely light yellow houses with Thai style red roofs. In front of the library I take a rest. This is Manora garden, a relaxing place...
A bit tired of 'doing nothing'? Walk to the local swimming pool or waterfall. Did you like this virtual walk? Take a look inside this website for more!
Maybe we will see you in Phangnga? You will be very welcome!
