Sa Nang Manora Waterfall is one of the most beautiful places near Phangnga town and very easy to reach. If you are already in Phangnga town it will take you about ten minutes by motorcycle. And... good news... now there is a small resort just before the park: our 'Manora garden'.
The Sa Nang Manora Forest Park is still free. There is till now no entrance fee. After entering the park, there is a parking lot for cars and motorcycles and a small restaurant. At the bridge you take your first steps into Manora Forest Park.
The lower part of the area is very nice all year round. Water flows everywhere in rainy season. The trees are tall and their roots are very nice. This is a real tropical area! In dry season a lot of people take a bath or swim in the slightly higher parts of Manora waterfall.
When you walk uphill, you will see those places where you can bathe. Local people enjoy the area especially on Saturdays and holidays. During weekdays it is very quiet and peaceful.
After walking for 10-15 minutes, you reach the end of the first part. You will notice a sign board: 'Head of trail', starting point of your next adventure. From here you will walk directly towards the mountain. After a few minutes you are at the foot of the 400 meter high mountain. It is an interesting two kilometer hike. Not too difficult and there is enough to see! Rocks, caves and at the end a huge cave with some bats. After you rest at this 'end of trail' (bring your own snack and drinks), you walk the same way back.
